Message personalization

Message personalization is addressing each recipient by name and by their situation, so the message reads as a note to a person rather than a copy for everyone.

What it looks like

Instead of “dear customer”, a person sees their own name and a line about their own case: a past purchase, a recent conversation, the next step. Twenty recipients read twenty notes, not twenty copies.

Why it matters

The same message sent unchanged to dozens of people is easy for a platform to recognize, and it is one of the common reasons a number gets restricted. A person who sees their own name and their own situation is more likely to answer and less likely to report. Personalization is not decoration. It is a safety measure and a sales one at the same time.

What to do

Do not stop at the name. Tie the message to the client’s situation: what they bought, what the conversation was about, what comes next.

Read the text before it goes out: someone else’s name, or an empty space where a name should be, looks worse than a plain greeting. And remember that personalization does not cancel the rules about who you write to and how fast. It only adds to them.
